50:50 (1:1) CUBE™ Unun, 1.8-61 MHz, 1.5KW, Ladder Line or Balanced Antennas to Remote Antenna Tuner
Product Details
MPN: CB-1-1500TS
Input ohms/Output ohms: 50 ohms in, 50 - 150 ouhms output
Frequency Range < 2:1 SWR (MHz): 1.8-61 MHz
PEP Power Rating (watts): 1500
Enclosure Size: 4 x 4 x 4
Antenna Compatability: G5RV/ZS6BKW/Dipole

The CB-1-1500DS Antenna Antenna Tuner Balun is a 50 ohm to 50 ohm, multi-core feed line choke designed to provide high choking impedance between a balanced ladder line feed line antennas (zepp, G5RV, extended double zepp, etc.) or single ended antennas like 1/4 wave verticals and a remote antenna tuner (including an automatic antenna tuner with only a single output and ground, like SGC-230, Icom AH-4, etc) short 50 ohm coax feed line (to antenna tuner) at a power of 1500 watts PEP from 1.8 to 61 MHz.

The input and output connectors are double studs marked +/-.

The CB-1-1500DS is configured as a Guanilla transmission line transformer with balanced outputs (current balun configuration). It is best used when ladder line impedance seen at the end of the ladder line to balun connection is close to 50-150 ohms. Enclosure box is 4″ x 4″ x 2″. Typical choking impedance range is 1K-10K ohms from 1-61 MHz.

ZS6BKW at AK6R png - Portable Operation RFI Kits

Portable operation is fun but also brings challenges to the radio operator concerning receiver “noise” levels, RF interference from adjacent sources including close by transmitting stations, and RFI from portable generators.  A typical scenario and some suggested Palomar product solutions are shown in the picture below:

Generator RFI testimonial:

Bob

Received your order in a timely fashion. Tried the generator kit on Sunday & it drops the noise from S9 to S5 and
took out all the electrical noise. I may want some more toroids from you at some point for other interference problems

If you use a computer for logging in your portable operations, RFI getting into computers will often lock up your computer and/or radio and a computer RFI suppression kits may be helpful

Make your expedition or portable operation a pleasant and fun outing and remember to take along your RFI kits so you have more time to operate rather then to troubleshoot intermittent or noisy receiver conditions.

Portable Antenna Kits

If you need an effective portable antenna which folds up for transport yet is easy to deploy at your operating site, consider the BULLET series of end fed wire antennas.
