Hybrids (NN:1+1:1)

Balun Hybrids include an impedance balun (2:1, 4:1, 6:1, 9:1, 16:1, etc) and a 1:1 balun (choke) in a single enclosure. Use on OCF, loop, terminated dipoles and similar coax fed antennas requiring an impedance transformer Suppresses common mode current on the coax outer braid (prevents your dipole from acting as a tripole!).

Choice of BALUN (balanced outputs) or UNUN (unbalanced output and ground)

Model CB-2.25-1500, 3000, 5000 is a 2.25:1 (112:50 ohm) multi-core balun used to translate a 50 ohm input to 112 ohms at RF power levels up to 5000 watts PEP when used with a matched load such as single band delta loop, quad or loop skywire. This assembled balun features a multi-core configuration for increased power handling and flatter frequency response to over 30 MHz. With a matched 112 ohm load the SWR over the frequency range is very consistent from 3-30 MHz and SWR is less than 2:1 over the range allowing easy tuning by most radio internal antenna tuners or an external tuner.
