End-Fed OCF Antennas (BULLET Series)

Portable, multi-band performance with simple deployment and a safer, lower-voltage feedpoint than typical EFHW designs. Great for SOTA/POTA, EMCOMM, RV/camping, and stealth installs.

Our **BULLET** end-fed off-center-fed (OCF) systems use a short radiator with your **coax braid as the other OCF leg**, delivering reliable multi-band coverage in tight spaces. Add a **SOFLC choke** at the recommended distance on the feed line and you’re on the air within minutes. Choose **20–6 m**, **40–6 m**, or **80–6 m with Resonance Compensator** to fit your band goals and site.

BULLET-2006 — 20–6 meters

25 ft radiator Choke @ ~7 ft 25 ft+ coax

Ultra-compact OCF for fast SOTA/POTA and stealth. 25 ft wire covers 20, 17, 15, 12, 11, 10 & 6 m; quick tune with your rig’s ATU if needed.

BULLET-4006 — 40–6 meters

55 ft radiator Choke @ ~12 ft 25 ft+ coax

Balanced “do-it-all” portable or base OCF. Works great as a sloper or inverted-L; most bands land within easy ATU range.

BULLET-8006RC — 80–6 meters

~93 ft radiator Choke @ ~38–40 ft 50 ft+ coax 80 m RC assist

OCF with **Resonance Compensator** to tame 80 m SWR. Ideal for operators who want the low bands without a full-size 130 ft wire.

Tip: SWR depends on height, ground conditions, nearby objects, and feed-line length. Place the SOFLC choke at the recommended distance. If the matching unit warms during long transmit periods, lower power/duty cycle—especially with continuous digital modes.

FAQs

End-Fed OCF vs EFHW — what’s the difference?
OCF avoids the high-voltage 49:1 transformer used by many EFHW designs. That yields a safer feedpoint and solid multi-band results with a shorter radiator. Your coax braid forms the “other” OCF leg—just add the choke at the right spot.
Where do I put the choke and how long should the coax be?
Place a **SOFLC** choke on the feed line at the model’s recommended distance (see table). Use at least the recommended coax length (25 ft+ for 2006/4006; 50 ft+ for 8006RC). Longer runs may shift the match slightly—fine-tune with your rig’s ATU.
Do higher-power variants tune better or add bands?
No—the only difference is **matching-unit power rating**. Band coverage and tuning behavior are the same across a model family (e.g., 2006 100 W vs 1500 W).
Which layout is best for small yards?
**Sloper** and **Inverted-L** are quick and forgiving. Horizontal between supports works too. Keep the wire clear of metal and wet foliage for best results.
