The Ferrite Snap On Combo Pack is a convenient solution for troubleshooting RFI/EMI with various diameter cables ranging from 3/8″ to 3/4″ for use as either single turn or multiple turn ferrite chokes.
The snap on chokes are useful for RF coax, AC/DC power cables, and device interconnection cables.
Always use a snap on with a larger inside diameter than the diameter of the cable and use multiple turns if possible (2 turns through the snap on is the same as 4 snap ons with 1 turns). Included in these combo packs are our most popular snap on sizes as follows:
Mix 31 Ferrite Snap On Combo ten pack (RFI Suppression range is 1-300 MHz)
FSB31-3/8 – 3/8″ ID – 4 pieces
FSB31-1/2 – 1/2″ ID – 4 pieces
FSB31-3/4 – 3/4″ ID – 2 pieces
Normal Retail price is $56 for these parts

- Excellent ferrite rings! I created two RFI common mode noise filters for my EFHW antennas. Previously, I had excessive RF in the shack. Adding the filters solved my problems. Great product. WEWayne E.Verified buyer

I have bad RFI from my refrigerator, freezer, dish washer, and microwave. The interference is worse on 40M (S9+). On 20M it is between S8 and S9. Is this the product I need to eliminate the RFI, or is there a better mix? I bought the Yaesu FT-710 Deluxe Transceiver RFI Kit and installed it per instructions. It did help with some noise removal, but my sound floor is still too high. I tried calling 760-747-3343 but it says the number is no longer taking calls. I tried email, but no response. Please help me with my issues.
Best bet for these items is a large ferrite on AC power cord as close to appliance as possible. Use a FSB31-1-1 split bead or better yet a ACCF-1.4 for small plugs or ACCF-3 for the larger plugs like dryers, generators, etc. Use as many turns as possible thru the center. We have the RFI-KLA kit for multiple appliances.
Seen two wrap patterns, one where the loops are all in the same direction all the way around the core and in the other pattern, half the loops are in one direction then the coax crosses across the core and then loops in the opposite direction for the remaining half of the loops. Is there a difference in attenuation between the two wrap patterns? Seems the Left Hand Rule would indicate a significant difference.
Electrically these are the same measured common mode rejection. The cross mode version is mechanically easy to install with the input and output opposite each other.
when I am working digital modes at 20m and 40m using my End Fed antenna my PC monitor turns off. Could this mix eliminate that problem?
yes the effective range is 1-300 MHz
Are these the same beads used in your BA-58-5? Thank you.
yes
Would this mix31 be good suppression for CAT ethernet cable noise? If I have a device like a security camera which side is best to place the coke? On the camera end or on the other end?
best to put one on both ends depending where the problem is seen.
