It would’ve been better to put it right at the fee point or closer than I did but this little tour did better than my six turns of RG eight that I installed just prior to lifting the beam into position. I did put this toroid CMC at a point approximately 3 m from the feed point itself, where two sections of RG8 connected., It works great!

Simple Jumper Feed Line Choke Optimized for 14-30 MHz

The simplest, most cost effective feed line choke is a ferrite ring installed as shown in the picture (at the antenna feed point) to stop feed line radiation or at the radio end of the coax to suppress common mode coax noise current on the coax braid.

Effective ferrite optimized choke for HF log periodics and beams, CB antennas and others in 14-30 MHz range

Improves antenna pattern by preventing your dipole (or driven element) from becoming a tripole

Suppresses pesky coax braid radiation and RFI when installed at antenna end of coax

Reduces coax braid common mode noise up to -40 dB ( 6+ "S" units) on receive when installed at radio end of coax

Use two chokes for each antenna feed line - 1 at antenna and 1 at radio end of coax

Add a double female barrel connector to act as an "extension" of the existing coax if needed
